Age Recommendations

Stories of Holy Communions was written specifically for children preparing for their First Holy Communion. However, the length and reading level of each story are above a second-grade level. Regardless, each story was designed to engage the heart of a little one eager to receive Jesus. 

In our home, we read the stories aloud as our little one prepared for First Holy Communion. Our children LOVED hearing the stories read aloud–even the older ones and parents! We then added a picture and a description of that child’s First Holy Communion in the back of the book, on the provided pages. The book remained the child's possession, and they are encouraged to return to the stories as they grow and remain in awe of the awesome gift of the Holy Eucharist.
