Stay With Me: Lenten Devotional for Catholic Youth
Stay With Me: Lenten Devotional for Catholic Youth
This Lent: Stay With Jesus
Stay With Me: Lenten Devotional for Catholic Youth is an invitation to slow down and reflect deeply on the final 20 hours of Jesus’s earthly life.
Each day of Lent, a reflection will help you enter into a moment with Jesus. Through the study of Sacred Scripture and imagination-based reflections, you will come to know all that Jesus experienced, said, did, and accomplished in the hours leading up to His death on the cross.
Instead of walking through Jesus’s entire life (as we do in the Jesus Tree) Stay With Me will focus your attention on the very end of Jesus’s life and allow you to do what He asked His disciples to do: to Stay With Him.
Scripture + Holy Imagination
Stay With Me was carefully and prayerfully developed. We studied details included in the Gospels and maps of ancient Jerusalem. Based on these things, Stay With Me shares a detailed timeline of Jesus’s final hours before His death.
Stay With Me will help you better understand what Jesus saw, how far He walked, how exhausted He was, and everyone He saw and spoke to. These moments and events are reinforced with Scripture passages.
Along with a daily Scripture Passage, Stay With Me offers a beautiful imagination-based reflection. Enter the scene with Jesus, and stay near Him.
Following the imagination-based reflection, you will be invited to go deeper. You’ve learned what happened, but what is the deeper meaning here? Explore the theology behind these events. For example, why is it a big deal that the High Priest tore His robes…and that the soldiers did not tear Jesus’s robe?
Each day’s devotion has the following parts:
- ANTIPHON
- SCRIPTURE PASSAGE
- THE MOMENT: Imaginative Reflection
- GOING DEEPER: An Explanation of Deeper Themes
- CONSIDER: A Lenten Challenge
- PRAYER

For Youth and Families
Warning: the final hours of Jesus’s life were brutal.
According to the Gospel accounts, Jesus hung on the cross from 9 am until 3 pm. That’s 6 hours. Since each day of Stay With Me explores 30 minutes of Jesus’s final 20 hours of life, you will be meditating on Jesus dying on the cross for nearly two weeks of Lent.
For this reason, Stay With Me may not be the right study for your family if you have family if your children are young.
Stay With Me can be used by the whole family, or by an individual.

Your Guide to the Triduum and Resurrection Joy
The Liturgical Year climaxes during Triduum. As Catholics, we are called to attend special liturgical services and uphold centuries-old traditions in our homes.
But…what if I’m new to the Faith, or my own faith-formation was poor (or poorly received). Triduum and Easter are beautiful… But I don’t understand all of it. How can I share these things with my children?
That is where we come in!
The Triduum and Easter Challenge from Catholic Sprouts will guide you day by day through the Triduum and Easter Season. Inside this beautiful, spiral-bound, full-color book, you will find:
- Complete explanations of special liturgical services, starting on Holy Thursday and continuing through Pentecost.
- Activities you can do at home to enter more fully into the moment the Church is celebrating that day.
- Tons of zero-prep crafts for little ones to enjoy.
- A deep dive explanation of important concepts related to that day’s celebration (for example, the ministry of St. Paul, the history of the Nicene Creed, and the date of Easter).
AND! Each Triduum and Easter Challenge from Catholic Sprouts comes with a free song and prayer book. Inside, you will find a hymn and prayer for each day of Holy Week, along with several to use throughout the Easter Season, including the Ascension and Pentecost.
Because Lent Isn’t the End. It’s the Beginning!
You do SUCH a good job of praying and focusing on Christ during Lent.

The Church certainly thinks so!
The Triduum and Easter Challenge from Catholic Sprouts offers activities, reflections, and ideas to keep your mind and heart in the Easter Season this year.
Here’s just a taste:
- TRADITION: Learn the traditional Easter greeting from the Early Church and use it at home.
- CRAFT: Cut out and display your own Resurrection Scene.
- RECIPE: Bake “Empty Tomb” Crescent Rolls.
- PRAY: Learn the Easter Sequence you will hear at Holy Mass
- SING: Open the Song and Prayer Book (included with each Challenge Book) and sing Jesus Christ is Risen Today
