The Gospels in a School Year is a printed study guide and 200 individual audio lessons. The study guide booklet will arrive in the mail, and you will have digital access to 200 episodes following your purchase, which we encourage you to load onto a Yoto card (not included.) This purchase also includes the digital copy of the study guide, which can be printed for other children to use.
The format of the Gospels in a School Year is simple.
Each of the 4 Gospels is divided into 10 weeks, and each week is split into 5 days. Each day has been assigned a specific section of the Gospel. Inside the Study Guide, each week is given its own page.
Nancy begins each episode by reading, in full, the verses covered that day. We use the New American Translation of the Bible in the audio lessons. Then, Nancy unpacks some important background information so that children are better able to understand and enter into the passage. Finally, Nancy ends each audio lesson with a small challenge.
As they listen, children are encouraged to take notes in the space provided in the study guide. They are also given a verse to memorize each week.

The Gospels in a School Year requires zero prep, and can be accomplished as a family/classroom or individually. Children must simply grab the study guide and a pencil, then hit play. We encourage you to add the audio files to a Yoto player card, where your child can easily access them.

We are all blessed by a study of the Gospel! The Gospels in a School Year was originally recorded for the Catholic Sprouts Podcast. Therefore, it can serve and bless the whole family! Ideally, the whole family or classroom would listen, discuss, and work through the lessons together. This can, however, be used independently by children in upper elementary school and older.
